Nominations for Collier Medal can be submitted through the MIT Excellence Awards website.
The selection committee evaluates the nominations based on how well they meet the specific criteria of the award. Committee members may speak to additional contacts given on the nomination form to gain further insight. The committee then meets to make its final selection.
The Selection Committee that determines the recipients of the Collier Medal and the six Excellence Awards is made up of members of staff from all over MIT. Committee members are not permitted to submit nominations and are not eligible to receive an award during the year they serve.
For more information on submitting a nomination, visit the MIT Excellence Awards website.
The Collier Medal is awarded annually to a member or group of members of our extended MIT community who have not previously received the Medal. The Collier Medal and Excellence Awards is presented annually at a ceremony at Kresge Auditorium.
